The following  project consists  of  the  two  piano  suites  dedicated  to  the marine theme  - “The marine” suite   (1994)   by   Greek   composer Dimitris Kapsomenos   (1937 - 1994)  and “The Sunda Seascapes”  (1990)  by Indonesian composer Triisytji Kamal (b. in 20th century). For  the  both  composers  their  marine   suites  are  the  main  piano compositions  and  one   of the most significant creations of their talents (for Madame Trisutji of course - till now. Wishing    her new masterpieces I will always remain the big admirer of the “Sunda Seascapes”).

Both of the composers improved their education in Italy almost at the same time. Trisutji Kamal   had graduated from the Rome Conservatory Santa Cecilia in 1975 then specialized in the different musical subjects in the same conservatory. Dimitris Kapsomenos lived in Italy in 1971-1975, in the years of the Junta Regime in Greece. He has graduated from Florentine Conservatory Luigi Cherubini in 1975. Composers had never met and probably even did not know about each other.  That’s why the similarity of the suites seems to be pretty astonishing. Belonging to the different races   and religions, born on the different parts of the Earth both composers are saying by music the same things – how to love this life and this Planet we are living on. And the image of the Sea turns in the suites to symbolize the endless Human Life - spreading in time and hugging the Earth.
