Italian culture contributed to the history of the classical music with the development of the language of the professional music, which was basically completed by creating the biggest classical genre - opera. Italian poetry had deeply influenced the structures and the genera of the western classical music and the western so- called “tonal” system. In the 20th century Italian composers   of the New Florence School of the composition in particular joined the “second wave” of the modernization of the language of western classical music and contributed to the development of the dodecaphonic style.

The purpose of the project by Iryna Riabchun “Composers with the Italian educational background” – to show an important role of the Italian school of the composition in the development of the classical music. The program of concert consists with the works of the Austrian, Ukrainian, Russian, Greek and Indonesian  composers of the 18th – 21th   centuries  who improved their musical education in Italy, and were influenced by the Italian style. The significant point of the project is including in it the works of the contemporary composers of so called “monodic” and “pentatonic” styles with the purpose to show the evidences of the continuation of the influence of the Italian school in the 20th century and spreading it to the South Europe and  to the Asia Pacific.
